The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association has expressed concern that 80 per cent of the animals in the Borno zoo have been affected by flooding. In a statement on Thursday, the President of the NVMA, Dr Moses Arokoyo, warned that if the animals are not properly cared for, there could be an outbreak of zoonotic diseases.
