The Sokoto State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has announced the suspension of the entire management team of Nigeria National League, NNL, side Sokoto United.
The suspension, which takes immediate effect, is expected to last for three months.
The decision was communicated in a letter signed by the Director of Administration of the Ministry, Aminu S. Fada, on Monday.
The ministry will assume full responsibility for overseeing and managing all affairs of the club pending further directives.
It expressed appreciation to all affected members of the management team for their dedication and selfless service to the club.
Sokoto United currently occupy seventh position on the Conference C table.
They will lock horns with Mighty Jets in their opening fixture of the second stanza.
