New Real Madrid player, Dean Huijsen, has named the club’s legend, Sergio Ramos, as his idol in football.
Huijsen said this on Tuesday during his first presentation as a Real Madrid player.
The 20-year-old defender had joined the Los Blancos from Bournemouth this summer.
According to him, Ramos sent him a message after he completed his move to the Spanish La Liga giants.
He also hailed the former Paris Saint-Germain star as the best centre-back in football.
“Sergio Ramos sent me a message the day I was official,” the Spain international said.
“He is my idol, I think he is the greatest centre-back in football.”
Huijsen is expected to compete with the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Éder Militão, David Alaba, and Jesús Vallejo for a starting place in manager Xabi Alonso’s squad.
