SEMA visits Kara Timber Market after fire outbreak in Birnin Kebbi

Officials of the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, on Sunday visited the Kara Timber Market in Birnin Kebbi to assess the extent of damage caused by the early morning fire outbreak.

The delegation, led by SEMA Chairman Bello Yakubu Rilisco and Executive Director Alh. Abubakar Abdullahi Tuleje, met with affected traders and inspected the destroyed sections of the market.

The visit followed a directive from Governor Nasir Idris, urging relevant agencies to respond promptly to the needs of victims.

SEMA officials said an assessment report is being compiled to guide possible government intervention and relief efforts.
