Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has said a semi-final clash with Algeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will be a “beautiful” encounter.
Regragui was speaking after they overcame Cameroon 2-0 in Friday’s quarter-final.
The Atlas Lions will now face the winner between Algeria and Nigeria.
“If it’s Algeria we’ll have to face in the semi-final it will be a true historic derby between two brothers, it would be beautiful for football,” Regragui said.
“If it’s them we’ll be very happy because it will be a great celebration.”
The last time Morocco and Algeria clashed at the AFCON was in the 2004 edition in Tunisia.
