Baruwa: MC Oluomo takes over NURTW national secretariat amid tight security [VIDEO]

The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, visited the National Secretariat of the NURTW on Tuesday following Monday’s attempt by Tajudeen Baruwa to assume office.

A video circulating online, obtained by our correspondent, shows security operatives around and inside the premises.

The video also depicts damages in various offices within the building, as well as properties destroyed during the chaos that occurred on Monday.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Baruwa, along with six others loyal to him, was arrested by operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command over the attempted takeover of the NURTW national secretariat.

According to the FCT Police Command, upon arrival, it was discovered that Baruwa and his group “were attempting to enforce a court order on the premises without the presence of court sheriffs and other officials.”

Amid the chaos on Tuesday, Oluomo, in a statement, denied being a defendant in the purported judgment, adding that the judgment had been appealed and a stay of execution duly entered.
