
At least, three people were killed on Saturday night when suspected bandits attacked Bargaja community in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The incident was contained in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine.
According to the post, the attack was led by notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, who reportedly stormed the community with his fighters late at night.
During the raid, three residents were killed, while several women and children were abducted.
“Last night, notorious bandit leader Bello Turji led his gang to the Bargaja community in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, resulting in the deaths of three people. Several women and children were also abducted, though the exact number remains unconfirmed.
“Given the recurring attacks by Bello Turji in Sokoto communities, what strategic measures can local and federal security agencies implement to disrupt his operations and prevent further civilian casualties?,” Bakatsine asked.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from the Sokoto State Government or security agencies on the attack.
