The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will on Wednesday, 18th February, 2026, swear-in 14 new judges recently appointed for the Federal High Court of Nigeria.
The inauguration is scheduled to take place in Courtroom Two of the Supreme Court, Abuja.
The National Judicial Council, NJC, had recently recommended 14 candidates to President Bola Tinubu for appointment as judges of the Federal High Court.
The new judges are Suleiman, Amida Hassan, Muhammad, Barau Saidu, Igboko, Chinelo Conchita, Onuegbu, Chioma Angela, Galumje, Edingah, Ibrahim, Vera Eneabo, Abubakar Musa, Usman Salihu and Aisha Yunusa.
The rest are Ikpeme Joy Bassey, Shehu Umaru Adamu, Mohammed Ibrahim Buba,
Eigege-Binjin, Nendelmum Judith, Usoro Kuyik Uduak and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus.
A statement on Monday by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Court, Dr Festus Akande, indicated that members of the bench, bar and media organisations are to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
The statement also said that strict adherence to the dress code and security protocols would be required for entry into the courtroom.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation,” the statement said.
