
Nigeria’s electricity company, the FirstPower Electricity Distribution Limited, FPEDL, has announced a single-day outage in Anambra state.
The disco disclosed this in a statement on Friday, noting that the blackout would take place on Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
According to FPEDL, the outage is due to enabling the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, crew to bring in its TR13 60 MegaVolt-Ampere transformer and reconfigure the outgoing feeders at the Onitsha Transmission Station, TS.
Consequently, the disco said bulk electricity supply would be affected to the following feeders: Army Barracks, Awada, Obosi, Umunya, Juddy Bolema, Nnewi Oba, Nnewi Industrial, Ossomala, 3-3, Niccus, and Ogidi, including the Nwaziki 11 kV and Woliwo 11 kV feeders.
“FirstPower Electricity Distribution Limited, FPEDL, wishes to inform her esteemed customers that there will be a planned power outage on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 10:00am to 1:00pm,” the disco stated.
