EPL table: Arsenal draw at Brentford, now 4pts ahead of Man City

Arsenal on Thursday night, saw their lead at the top of the Premier League table cut to four points, after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Brentford.

The Gunners came into the game knowing Manchester City had closed the gap with a 3-0 thrashing of Fulham a day before.

But it proved to be a tough encounter for Mikel Arteta’s men at the GTech Stadium, as they failed to register a shot on target in the second half.

However, Noni Madueke opened the scoring, heading home Piero Hincapie’s cross after the break.

Keane Lewis-Potter levelled for the hosts 10 minutes later.

Although the closing minutes of the match were end-to-end, there were no further goals in the game.
