NPFL banishes Niger Tornadoes from Bako Kotangora Stadium

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has banished Niger Tornadoes from the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.

The league body stated that the venue is unfit to host league matches following recent guidelines on broadcast and TV rights requirements.

Niger Tornadoes have been asked to adopt either the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl Stadium in Ilorin or the New Jos Stadium in Jos.

The NPFL stated this in a memo addressed to the club and signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi.

Niger Tornadoes are expected to decide on the alternative grounds listed before Monday, 2nd February, 2027.

The Ikon Allah Boys will do battle with Bendel Insurance in their next home fixture.
