Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has explained the reason his administration appointed Desutch Gustave Emmanuel as the new Head of Enyimba Football Club of Aba.
Emmanuel was appointed on Monday, making him the fourth person to handle Enyimba in the current season.
Otti, who was speaking at Government House in Umuahia on Thursday during his monthly chat with journalists, said that there was a need to give fresh energy to the former CAF Champions League winners.
According to Otti, with the arrival of the new Head Coach, Enyimba is expected to return to winning ways with the support of other staff.
Otti announced that his administration has recovered Ovom Street in Aba, which was destroyed by erosion before his administration came on board, saying that the reconstructed street would be commissioned for use again in a few days’ time.
In education, Governor Alex Otti announced that enrollment into basic and secondary education in Abia has jumped from 117,000 to 300,000 as of December 2025.
