US forces seize another oil tanker as Venezuela pressure campaign continues

The United States Navy and Marine Corps on Friday carried out a surprise, early-morning mission to stop and take control of a Russian oil tanker.

Working with Homeland Security, it was gathered that the military used several massive warships to surround the vessel and stop “illegal activity” near our borders, officials say.

Confirming the development, the US military Southern Command in a statement said its forces had “apprehended” the Olina tanker “without incident”.

The operation comes two days after US forces seized two oil tankers, including the Russian flagged Marinera oil tanker, originally known as the Bella-1.

DAILY POST reports that the US military has continued to target vessels sanctioned by Washington in its pressure campaign against Venezuela.
