War: You’re putting British lives in danger – Iran warns Starmer over latest decision

Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has warned UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer that allowing UK bases to be used for US-Israeli strikes on Iran endangers British lives.

In a fiery post on X on Friday, Araghchi accused Starmer of dragging the UK into a role of “participant in aggression,” arguing that the British public overwhelmingly opposes such involvement.

“The vast majority of the British people don’t want any part in the Israel-US war on Iran,” Araghchi wrote.

“Ignoring his own people, Mr. Starmer is putting British lives in danger by allowing UK bases to be used for aggression against Iran. Iran will exercise its right to self-defence.”

The warning follows reports that the UK has granted the United States permission to use British military installations for operations against Iranian-linked threats in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

The authorization came after US President Donald Trump criticized NATO allies, labeling them “cowards” for not contributing warships to secure the key waterway.
